From concept and planning to fundraising and development, Jean’s hands-on approach provides nuanced insights and intimate knowledge of Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs).
  • A specialist in senior living facility construction management, financial feasibility, bond financing and all other facets of operational management Jean, served as a consultant for the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of West Missouri where she led the establishment of Bishop Spencer Place—a mid-size CCRC in Kansas City, Missouri. She later became its founding CEO. Prior to that, Jean also led the Mid America Regional Council Area Agency on Aging and founded a geriatric case management agency.

Through her expertise in integrated marketing, research and capital campaign promotion, Sharon offers a unique perspective and thorough insight into for-profit as well as not-for-profit sponsors in each of these areas.
  • Throughout the years, Sharon has worked successfully with hundreds of retirement communities, has spoken at numerous conferences including AAHSA and IAHSA, and is a frequent guest lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University. She also serves as a consultant to numerous organizations and authored Thinking Partner Selling™, a systematic, highly successful approach to senior living sales.

  • Jeffrey Byrne brings an expertise in both fundraising and the senior living field to 3B with an aim to improve the lives of seniors through fundraising within retirement communities. Jeffrey brings a distinctive, client-focused philosophy to fund development and through intensive work with numerous organizations, thousands of volunteers and scores of client projects, he has amassed decades of invaluable fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • President of Jeffrey Byrne & Associates, the only Kansas City firm to be accepted into the Giving Institute, he and his firm’s associates have raised millions of dollars on campaigns for clients across numerous sub-sectors. Jeffrey shares his fundraising leadership throughout the country via workshops, seminars and keynote addresses concerning a broad range of topics. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Giving Institute as well as other committees that shape the standards of philanthropy in the United States
